Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are your hours?

A: We are open Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. (Occasionally we will check in patients for Surgery earlier than 8:30)

Q: Can parasites from my pet be transmitted to my children and family?

A: Yes! Absolutely.

Q: What kind of food should I feed my pet?

A: Dr. N recommends Iams and Eukanuba products. We have several kinds of food in stock and can order it if we don’t have it in stock. (Including other brands.)

Q: How much should I feed my pet?

A: Typically, you should feed slightly less than the amount listed on the package for the weight your pet SHOULD be. Limit treats to healthy pet treats, no people food.

Q: Does my cat need a rabies Vaccination, even if they are indoors only?

A: YES!! Absolutely!!

Q: Do I need to worry about fleas year round?

A: Yes! Because of our climate the fleas never die off. Year round flea treatment is highly recommended.

Q: Do I need to worry about ticks?

A: Yes! Even if you do not live or take your dog in the woods you should protect your dog against ticks and lyme disease. Frontline repeals ticks and there is a lyme disease vaccination for dogs.

Q: At what age can my pet be spayed or neutered?

A: We recommend spaying and neutering at 6 months of age. (Occasionally we can do it earlier)
