Leonbergers

Sara,

Was born in Saranac Lake, NY and raised in Oregon. She spent much of her childhood training in competitive gymnastics and camping with her mom, brother and their dogs. At age 18 Sara left Oregon and moved to Connecticut to be a live-in nanny. After living in CT, PA and traveling around the country with her “kiddos,” for whom she was a nanny, Sara returned to OR to be close to family. Upon returning she was a nanny for two sweet little girls for two years. After traveling to Singapore with them she returned to OR to settle down in 2005. She enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and his four precious little girls, triplets plus one, whom she simply adores. The girls are often seen at the clinic being “little helpers.” Sara has two dogs, “Charlie,” an 18 lb. Shih-Tzu who thinks he’s a Mastiff and “Abby,” a 9 lb. Shih-Tzu who is affectionately known to all as, “The Princess”. They hope to add to their already very busy house with a Leonberger puppy (or two =) sometime in 2009. Sara loves to be outdoors camping, hiking and taking photographs. Sara started helping Dr. Michele, a.k.a. “Mom” (to Sara) with her House Call practice in 2006. She was an integral part of transitioning from the house call practice to opening the clinic. We don’t know how we would have done it without her! Sara currently is the Practice Manager, but she also fills the role of Receptionist, Veterinary Technician Assistant and whatever else needs to be done. Sara is the thread that keeps this clinic all together.

Monique,
Pictured here with her precious 1 1/2 year old cat "Milo." Monique also has an energetic young yellow lab named Sophie and thirteen chickens. Outside of work Monique is a very busy mother of three. Her children are Nicole, 16, Matthew, 13 and Michelle, 9. She has been married for eighteen years. She and her husband own a local business and are residents of Coburg. She also enjoys reading, gardening and traveling when time permits. She knew caring for animals was what she wanted to do since she was eight years old. She grew up in Southern California and moved here in 1992. She loves her work; one of her favorite procedures to do is dentistry. She has worked here at Coburg Veterinary Clinic as a Certified Veterinary Technician since May 2007. She has been a Veterinary technician for 20 years, we greatly appreciate this experience. She is only with us part time due to her busy family but we wish she could be here all the time! Monique always has a smile on her face and is an extremely skilled technician and we are thrilled she is a part of our team.

Jasmine,

Pictured here with a Golden Crowned Kinglet. Jasmine grew up in the small town of Scio Oregon. She is a country girl and loves the outdoors. After graduating high school she went to LBCC and received her Associate of Arts degree. She then went to Oregon State University (GO BEAVS) to receive her Bachelors of Fisheries and Wildlife degree with a specialization in Wildlife Conservation. She enjoys traveling and has worked many different kinds of jobs such as being an educator at the Hatfield Marine Science Center, to working in the middle of nowhere as a bird nest searcher. It was a job surveying cut-throat trout that brought her to Eugene where she met her boyfriend and thought about settling down.

She became interested in the veterinary medicine field because she wanted more hands on experience with animals. She began working at the Coburg Veterinary Clinic in November of 2009. Her favorite part of working here is seeing all the animals, especially the puppies! She has one cat named Boppers whom she loves dearly. Her favorite pastimes include:  bird-watching, hiking, kayaking, and dancing!

Tracee,

A recent transplant to Oregon, Tracee hails from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  She has been working in the veterinary field for the past 3 years.  She enjoys hiking, rollerblading, and walking with her 4 year old husky mix Koga. All the new trails, waterfalls, rivers and restaurants are an exciting prospect for this adventurous girl.  She believes meditation and positive thinking are always the best way to start the day, and to create and keep a healthy mind.

Since moving to Oregon in mid October of ’10 Tracee has been involved with the Cottage Theatre playing ‘Kitty’ in the first production of their 2011 season ‘Charley’s Aunt’.  There are sure to be more theatrical productions in her future so don’t be surprised if you see her lighting up the stage soon. When she’s not busy rehearsing she spends her time snowboarding, canoeing, or scuba diving.

We enjoy her up beat attitude and charming personality on a daily basis and hope that you will soon grow to know and love her like we have. She’s looking forward to improving her knowledge and skills with all our patients.

Megan,

Pictured here with her 11yr old heeler mix Buster, whom she adopted off the cruel streets of Eugene Oregon. She decided to keep him, after he fit in so nicely with the rest of her misfit menagerie of pets, which include a Golden retriever, 7 cats, 6 box turtles, 3 rabbits and a Beta named Bob.

Megan has been interested in the care of animals since she was a young child. She used to be involved in the 4-H program both showing animals and teaching younger kids the proper handling of rabbits. She now hopes to pass this love and knowledge on to her young son Isaiah, with his first rabbit that was found abandoned on some kind persons property.

When not at work or tending to her animals Megan takes joy in drawing and gardening. She particularly enjoys working with shade plants and plants native to Oregon as well as her indoor succulent garden.
